  1. Hah, you managed to attract GabeMac. That is just awesome! Gabe _really_ knows what he is talking about and getting a chance to hear him share some of his war stories with you is definitely a reason to go to BLOG08

  2. Ye, we too are very happy to have such an influential vlogger like Gabe at the BLOG08 stage. We definitely want to hear the stories that did not make the camera ;-)

  3. so he has all the chicks’ attention, what-Ever…:)

I’ll just come by and give him a hard time, somebody needs to at least try and keep him level headed..heh

cool location, cool that it’s about content/substance (delivery) and creativity, I’m so tired of all the tech. It’s there, use it, but please shut up about it for a second…right? :)

Did I mention I’m also known as ‘the bully’?

  4. wait..150/195 euros? Oh no, not again.

  5. hit enter, when I didn’t mean to.

With so many sponsors lined up, how can it be that one needs to pay that kind of amount? It’s bloody ridicilous.

  6. @Mindcaster you can trust me when I say we’ve tried to keep the entry fee as low as possible. I’m sorry to hear it’s too high for you. Your dedication to give Gabe a hard time looked promising!

  7. Ernst-Jan, I understand, but I have a feeling, the same way with PICNIC, that more resources could be focused on that than on the frivolous ‘extras’ & dressups. I know it’s an effort to make it more appealing, but I’m not just thinking about my own current budget, but in general about the accessibility for young creatives. I would hate to see an inspiring content-oriented event like this (kudos!) to go the way of many others, leaving a feeling of ‘them vs us’ or ‘incrowd’ or ‘preaching to the choir’. You know what I mean.

I’d love to come by and deliver on that promise for that particular thing (it’s real), but really, I see no way of coughing it up. So, how about I give you some exposure on my incredibly(!) popular blog…? :)

  8. I have a better idea Marc! If you take the financial risk of our €50.000 investment, I’ll give you and five young creative minds a free ticket ;-)

  9. @Mindcaster No way you are coming near me! Didn’t you get that restraining order I sent you! Stay away you bike bully you! ;-)

btw, thanks for picking up my mail.

  10. hahaha, hey, nobody put a gun against your head! :)

    Bargaining, soooo Dutch :)

I’ve taken my risks, thank you very much, I wish it was that low an amount I owe :).

  11. At every event we organize there are people who think that the price is an issue. I promise you: if you would hand out money to people coming you would still have people complaining “Hey what is this! I only get $150 to attend? Do you know what I make in a day? This is not enough!”

Blog08 is incredibly cheap and I wish you would have made it twice as expensive. Getting these speakers together in ONE day is just priceless…

  12. ok, one last try: how about squeezing me in as a speaker, too. I got some juice and Amsterdamize has a interesting story to tell. And beyond that, I think I can I have plenty of other stuff to mix it up with. And it’s not like I haven’t done it before. Just wondering.

    later, Marc

  13. I appreciate that, Boris, and I hate to sound like a cheap whiner, cause I’m not. It’s up to Blog08 to draw the line, but I’ve been to too many events to NOT ask those questions, so forgive me. I try to find a compromise and if it doesn’t work, fine. At least I tried to appeal to common sense.

    cheers, Marc

  14. I’ll sing a song for a free ticket…;)

  15. Any cool chicks coming to this event? That’s what its all about at the end. The driving force deep within us to become successful!! Why do we put our lives out on the web? recognition? Why do we want to be heard ? do we want to make a difference? And now Rock stars?
Bring out Doctor Phil on the panel and lets get to the deeper meaning of this, shall we?
